Legal Smart Journal publishes legal reporting, science journalism, long reads, Evidence Desk files and signed perspectives by named experts, in English and Serbian.

We start from real questions — the ones people ask after a diagnosis, an accident, a disaster, a war or a court ruling — and answer them with evidence. Every major claim is sourced and classified as established fact, scientific finding, legal finding, expert interpretation, disputed allegation or open question, and those categories are never blurred.

We follow each story along its whole arc: life before the harm, the exposure, the consequences, the rights of the people affected, the record that shows what happened, and what comes next.

Our founding author is Srđan Aleksić, a lawyer from Niš. Authors disclose any professional interest in the subjects they write about.
